It started with one question
“What app
did you use?”
A coworker made a song about work. I asked her what app she used—and the rest was history.
What began as curiosity became a new way to tell stories. Ruby Vanguard Studio uses different genres to express different emotions, because one sound could never hold everything life throws at us.
Music also became a powerful way for me to process my own feelings and experiences, including the complicated reality of living with chronic illness. These songs come from honest places: struggle, hope, anger, humor, grief, defiance, and the choice to keep moving.
The Name.
Ruby Vanguard represents moving forward, even when life takes an unexpected and painful turn. For me, that means continuing to show up while living with chronic illness—still here, still creating, and still becoming. That journey lives inside several of these albums. This music is for anyone carrying pain, uncertainty, or fear of their own. My hope is that you hear something that connects with you, reminds you that you are not alone, and gives you a little more strength to keep going.
